Periodic Onsite Support
The Types of work performed may include:
- Update software for new version releases and patches (e.g.
Windows, anti-viruses);
- Review system or application logs for completion of tasks (e.g.
successful tape backup) or breach of security (e.g. firewalls
logs, unsuccessful login attempts);
- Perform periodic maintenance prescribed by software or hardware
vendors (E.g. defragmentation);
- Perform periodic security scans
on network systems (e.g. spyware, registry review);
- Test tape backup recovery;
- Deploy new hardware (e.g. scanners, printers);
- Develop and maintain standard image for desktop computers;
- Deploy new computers; and
- A “trip” report and summary
action list.
